Current opening hours of the CZU Library

Due to the current measures of the Czech government, related to the spread of Covid-19 and in connection with the university rules, the CZU Library services will be changing from January 11th, 2021.

Validity of ISIC, ITIC and ALIVE cards is getting extended!

Temporarily available digitized collections of National Library, Moravian Library and National Library of Technology of the Czech anti-epidemic system extended to January 31, 2021.

Ebooks, textbooks and databases with temporary free access

[DEPRECATED] Some publishers temporarily opened their publications and databases. Come and see what is available.

The CZU Library partially open from April 21st [DEPRECATED]

The library will be open only for handing over the ordered books through e-mail from Tuesday till Thursday from 12:00 till 15:00.

Library closed during teaching cancellation

In regards to teaching cancellation by the rector and limitation of public movement by the government the library building is closed until further notice.

Opening hours in September 2019

The summer break is coming to an end. Enjoy our shiny study rooms for the coming semester.

Install a new certificate for Eduroam wifi.

On July 20th a new certificate for Eduroam Wifi was issued. You need to renew it in order to use the Eduroam network.

Summer opening hours

Easter opening hours

We are closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. On Holy Thursday the library and study rooms are open only until 4 PM.

Trial access: ProQuest One Academic

Till March 15th you can access 4 different databases - english theses, journal full-texts, scientific cinematography and scholarly ebooks.

Opening hours back to normal

Study rooms are open 8-20. Reading room 8-16. Card center and e-shop till 15.

Holiday opening hours

The reduced opening hours start from Thursday, December 20th. In the New Year we resume normal opening hours on Monday January 7th.

Opening hours last week in September

Borrowing books and Large study room until 20:00. The Card Center and E-Shop will close at 15:00. Unfortunatelly our study rooms open no sooner than on 1st October.

Library opening hours in September

You can borrow books until 16:00. The Card Center and E-Shop will close at 15:00. Unfortunatelly our study rooms open no sooner than on 24th September.

Opening hours in summer

We close study rooms last week in June. During July and August we are going to change furniture, paint the study rooms and sort books in Large Study room by subject headings. You will see for yourself in September!
