Since 2008, Open Access Week has been celebrated annually worldwide to spread awareness about Open Access. CZU is proud to join this year's celebration as part of the unique Open Science Week 2023.

This event brings a week packed with topics related to Open Science, Research Data Management, Open Access, Citizen Science and legal aspects of Open Science. For the first time, institutions nationwide have joined forces to offer a unique experience.

Detailed programme and more information can be found on the ALCU website, here you can register for individual days.

Across Czech cities, each day will bring a different perspective on the world of Open Science. Everything will kick off in Prague (Open Science, How To Get Started?) and will continue in Ostrava (Research Data Management), Brno (Open Science and The Law: How Not To Get Lost in The Jungle?), Liberec (Open Access: Even in a Good Journal One Can Publish for Free) and the whole event will end in Olomouc (Echoes of Open Science and Citizen Science in the Scientific Community). You can look forward to Czech and international speakers, practical demonstrations, sharing of rich experiences and lively discussions.

Join online or come in person. Get ready for an unforgettable week full of inspiration and new insights into open science, brought to you by the Association of Libraries of Czech Universities (ALCU) in collaboration with the CZU and other institutions.
